… our interest for the modern music is intense.
Us attracts more from anything other the primary creation in present
time.
A music that is written today and played today constitutes the
quintessence of our artistic search.
Opposite in the "Modern music" as musicological term, we keep a
discreet distance and occasionally a critical attitude,
Distance we keep from the fixations or even religionists of
"faculties", technical ways and "properties",
Our critical attitude is signaled by the permanent and constant
need, our music making sentiments. So our choices are few and
careful.
In the person of composer George Vasilanonakis we met a most
excellent "craftsman of" sounds and feelings. Moreover, his deep
knowledge for the body that we play was guarantee for a "common
language" and efficient practice toward a particularly exigent work,
full thin nuances but also abundance of musical ideas.
Having up to today the "experience" we have presented a widest range
of work that has been written (or me') for guitar ensembles, we felt
(all those who we worked for this work) that with the 6 miniatures
G. Vasilanonakis it can open a street for a section in the modern
repertory of guitar.
